Some what. I only had a small sample set from general's. I did the drawing with charcoal first then drew over it with pastel pencil (red/pink/brown/white) its nowhere near as good as some of yours. I also need to buy the correct paper.
It was bristol vellum.( I just grabbed a sheet to test and kept going)The pastels are in pencil form and I would say they are hard because they sharpened pretty easily with only a few breaks. Yes I had to lift the sheet multiple times to clean it off. May be better to work at an angle but im used to flat surfaces. I know with softer pastels it is better to use something with more tooth. I want something like color pencils but without all of the time it takes to properly blend color pencil. I think Im asking for too much lol. I dont really have the space(or money for canvas/supplies) for painting so im trying to stick to dry mediums.
Thanks! I need to purchase a set of stick pastels and better paper. (all of the pastel papers here locally are very lightweight. I think ill have to order some online.
